Johan Cruyff Institute and Female Coaching Network join forces to support female coaches

Both organization aim to create a unique community of female coaches who can connect, share and develop their coaching experiences and knowledge.

The Johan Cruyff Institute Amsterdam and the Female Coaching Network join forces. This collaboration will allow both organizations to increase their support for female coaches globally, offering a variety of coach education programs including the Master in Coaching, webinars, conferences and workshops.

The aim of the collaboration is to raise awareness of female coaches and create a unique community of female coaches who can connect, share and develop their coaching experiences and knowledge.

The first academic program organized by both organizations was a webinar about ‘performance under pressure’. Professor and manager of the institute, Henk Verschuur, shared his knowledge about this topic. Although the collaboration was focused on female coaches, everyone who is interested in this subject, was welcome to subscribe. The webinar was held on Wednesday 20th September at 21.00h Dutch time.

Henk Verschuur about the collaboration: “Over the years a lot of very talented female coaches have studied at our Institute. It feels like a privilege to share our Cruyffian insights and knowledge on the various essential elements of coaching. As Johan Cruyff always said: ‘You will only see it when you get it’.”

The Female Coaching Network is the leading global community of female coaches who support, drive and influence real change in sports diversity. The network is an independent, non-governmental organization founded in 2014 by Vicky Huyton, a track & field coach from the UK, and now consists of more than 50.000 female coaches from a variety of diverse backgrounds from all over the world.

Vicky Huyton is very pleased with the collaboration: “This is a really exciting step forward for the Female Coaching Network. It not only raises the profile of our community within Europe, but it will also allow us to connect with more women who coach on the continent. We will be working closely to bring innovative learning experiences for women who coach and grow the community of female coaches to work towards our vision of a more diverse workforce across all levels, in all sports and all countries.”
