During the National Sport Expo 2019, Johan Cruyff Institute will be present as Academic Partner with a unique Cruyff Institute Theatre
On Saturday September 7, Johan Cruyff Institute will be present as Academic Partner at the second edition of the National Sport Expo at the Rotterdam Ahoy. The expo represents a network of athletes, professionals and entrepreneurs who are active within the sports industry. The goal is to offer all stakeholders more success through knowledge and inspiration sessions and a special sports expo.
In addition to tickets for its students, alumni and stakeholders, Johan Cruyff Institute will have an exhibition stand at the sports expo, and the organization is offering special internships and volunteer spots to our students and alumni. Also, a unique Cruyff Institute Theatre will be set up where alumni and professors will give presentations on the subjects of sport performance and sport management.
Eight alumni and professors will share their own, unique stories and experiences with the visitors during the day. The first presentation starts at 11 a.m. and the last one will take place at 3 p.m. Hanna Wintzen, legacy manager EURO 2020 at the Dutch Football Federation, will kick off the morning session by talking about her challenges to create a long-lasting social impact. Later on, among others, Celine van Gerner, two-time Olympic gymnast, will share her experiences in the field of performance under pressure, and Karuna Balami will give the visitors a completely different view on athlete performance through meditation and mindfulness.
A representative from our co-entity within the World of Johan Cruyff, the Cruyff Foundation, will also be on stage to share their story. This presentation starts at 2.45 p.m. on a different stage, the Clubhuis Theater.
