This initiative, supported by the United Nations, brings together higher education institutions that promote the transformation of business education through the management of socially responsible education
At Johan Cruyff Institute, we are convinced that only through ethical business conduct can the interests of professional sport be safeguarded in the long term. We are driven by our commitment and professionalism to train new leaders in sport management that will perpetuate the legacy of Johan Cruyff, our founder, and we believe that educating in socially responsible sport management is essential to achieve this goal.
Johan Cruyff Institute has joined the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative for higher education institutions, supported by the United Nations, which is committed to the transformation of business and management education through the training of responsible leaders.
“We are proud to be among the leading academic institutions that promote a global commitment based on values, through this platform. Social commitment through the responsible and sustainable management of the sports world has always been one of our basic principles”, says the director of Johan Cruyff Institute, Mariël Koerhuis. “I firmly believe that the strategic alliance with academic institutions such as those that make up the PRME network will help institutions such as ours to train leaders who will safeguard the integrity and moral principles of business practice. As we sign up to the PRME, we recognize that in the world of sport, understood as a business activity, not everything goes”.
