At the end of November, Henk Groener, former head coach of the Dutch women’s handball team and professor of the Master in Coaching, and Henk Verschuur, manager of the Johan Cruyff Institute Amsterdam, will be appearing on stage to give an interactive lecture about Johan Cruyff’s vision on managing sports organizations.
On Wednesday 30 November, Johan Cruyff Institute will be present at the National Sports Fair (Nationale Sport Vakbeurs) in the events hall in Gorinchem, in the heart of The Netherlands. The fair is a combination of the National Football Fair, the National Tennis Fair, the National Hockey Fair and the National Korfball Fair, all in one. Around 8,000 visitors (directors, managers, treasurers, trainers, sports officials and volunteers) are expected to attend in order to make contact with suppliers of sports organizations, such as turf suppliers, teamwear suppliers, medical suppliers, hospitality suppliers and sponsor systems.
Besides being a platform for sport and bringing together people from the sports industry, the National Sports Fair will also provide plenty of entertainment. In the past years, there have been forums with national football players, personalities and trainers, such as Andy van der Meijde, Wilfred Genee, Jan van Halst, Regie Blinker and Jan Wouters, amongst others. Several seminars have also been held in cooperation with organizations as the National Football Federation and the tax authorities.
Johan Cruyff Institute Amsterdam will have a stand all day and Henk Groener and Henk Verschuur will be taking to the stage twice during the day to give an interactive lecture about the vision of Johan Cruyff how to manage sports organizations. The lectures will be at 12pm and 7pm.
