Johan Cruyff Institute once again returns as the knowledge partner of AfroSport Summit in the Ghanaian capital of Accra
Driven by its young talent, Africa’s total sports industry revenue is projected to grow by approximately 9.75% by 2027, with a forecasted market volume of $8.87 million. To boost this industry, AfroSport Summit 2024 will be held on July 17 and 18 at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Accra. Key players in sports from Africa and around the world will gather to exchange ideas, engage in discussions, and network. Once again, Johan Cruyff Institute will collaborate with AfroSport Summit as a knowledge partner.
“This is our third consecutive year collaborating with Johan Cruyff Institute, and this highlights our joint commitment to improving sports education in Africa and beyond,” says Prince Narkortu Teye, CEO of ASC and AfroSport. “We hope that the delegates of our event make the most of the opportunities this partnership offers.” The event will cover key aspects for the growth of the sports industry in Africa, such as governmental and legal issues, investments and financing, marketing, and sponsorships.
Throughout the two days of AfroSport Summit 2024, representatives from sports clubs, leagues, federations, as well as athletes, coaches, and media will gather. To drive the development of the sports industry, four pillars have been established for the event:
- First, education, to share innovations, case studies, and success stories.
- Second, discussion, as a means to foster conversation on new ways to boost the industry.
- Another pillar will be business, to facilitate joint activities, promote trade, and close deals.
- Finally, AfroSport Summit 2024 will focus on networking, to bring together key stakeholders in the industry.
In summary, AfroSport Summit 2024 will be a space to address the specific challenges of the continent and seek to chart a new course for the socioeconomic growth of the sports industry. Athletes, coaches, prominent personalities, companies, academic circles, and media, among others, will gather at AfroSport Summit 2024 to drive the development of the sports industry in Africa.
