The agreement will benefit the more than 38,000 members of the largest sports club in Latin America and also Johan Cruyff Institute students with internship offers and access to case studies
Johan Cruyff Institute and Esporte Clube Pinheiros, the largest sports club in Latin America, have signed a collaboration agreement that will benefit both institutions. The signing of the agreement took place during the Latin American Sport Business Congress, the leading event of the sports industry in Latin America, which this year was held for the first time in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo on November 6 and 7.
The president of Esporte Clube Pinheiros, Roberto Cappellano, and the international agent of Johan Cruyff Institute in Brazil, Davis Tenorio, met in Sao Paulo to sign the agreement. The agreement will allow the more than 38,000 members of the Brazilian club to access discounts ranging from 10 to 30% in all the Johan Cruyff Institute academic programs in Sport Management, Sport Marketing, Football Business and Coaching.
The Johan Cruyff Institute will also be able to benefit from the collaboration of professionals from the Pinheiros Club in providing presentations and courses organized in Brazil. Its students will also benefit from internships and access to case studies about the management of a club with a huge tradition and a world reference in professional competition, as well as in social, cultural and service activities in Sao Paulo. Pinheiros was founded in 1899, currently has more than 38,000 members, including athletes and club members, and has 170,000 m2 of facilities. Among its greatest sporting achievements are the 24 medals won by its athletes at the 2011 Pan American Games.
