StartCup is a new initiative of the Football World Summit 2017 to recognize innovation and entrepreneurship at the service of football
One of the great novelties of the second edition of the World Football Summit, which will take place on October 16 and 17 at the Goya Theater in Madrid, will be StartCup, an initiative to recognize innovation and entrepreneurship at the service of football. StartCup will promote a meeting among entrepreneurs, investors, customers and the press in an ideal environment to be able to do business with companies that will define the future of the sector.
The World Football Summit will select the seven best start-ups, which will be able to give their elevator pitch and explain their business project to the attendees of the congress in a space provided in Room 2 of the congress.
All companies interested in participating in the competition must meet a number of basic requirements: they must be innovative projects, which are at an intermediate level of demonstrable development with concrete milestones, have passed a first round of funding and have a full-time dedicated team. And finally, they must have the potential for international implementation.
The invitation to participate is aimed at entrepreneurs whose activity is linked to football and technology in the following areas: health, sport performance, team management, devices, management and improvement of facilities, equipment, e-gaming, marketing, software and applications, wearables, security, training and entertainment/leisure. The registration period closes on September 10.
Johan Cruyff Institute, as academic partner of the event, can offer special discounts for alumni of the global network through the Alumni Cruyff Institute platform.
Those who are interested in submitting a project can register here.
