Johan Cruyff Institute to participate in the FC Barcelona technology symposium

Irsan Widarto, professor of innovation and entrepreneurship at the Johan Cruyff Institute, will give a presentation at the second symposium on technology applied to the sports world

FC Barcelona, in collaboration with and at the initiative of FCB Universitas is organizing the second edition of its Sports Technology Symposium, a forum for international debate on the use of technology applied the world of sport, which will be held on November 10^th and 11^th and in which Irsan Widarto, professor of innovation and entrepreneurship at the Johan Cruyff Institute, will participate

The event, aimed at professionals in the sector, will focus on two main areas: on the one hand, performance and data analysis and, on the other, the impact of the digital era in the sports industry (check out our webinar on ‘The impact of the digital age on the marketing of football‘, with Richard Lamb, the International Business Director at Inter, among others). After the success and interest generated by the event last year, which was attended by 320 professionals from the sports sector, and in their eagerness to open the forum to as wide an international audience as possible, FC Barcelona will bring together representatives of the NBA, the NFL, the Premier League, La Liga, the Euroleague, the United States Olympic Committee, the Super Bowl and Facebook.

The best American leagues like the NBA and the NFL will be represented by members of the Chicago Bulls, the Golden State Warriors, the Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Sounders, and the English football league will also be present with representatives from Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.
