What is sport sponsorship? Why is it important to have a sponsor for a sporting event? How many types of sport sponsorship are there? What are the objectives of the sponsor? And of the sponsee? How is sponsorship for a sporting event activated? All these questions and many more will be answered in the free course we start from July together with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and in collaboration with GlobalSportsJobs, a digital trading platform and a reference in the sports industry.

The course, lasting five weeks, will be taught by Richard Denton, a British sport marketing consultant with 20 years of experience in the sector and professor at Johan Cruyff Institute Amsterdam.

Pep Guardiola will accompany you throughout the course as you discover what you need to know how to achieve the objective: dive into the world of sport sponsorship and come out with the basic knowledge for developing a real project – the activation of a sponsorship for a Cruyff Court, one of the flagship projects of the Cruyff Foundation.
The best activation plan will be awarded a scholarship to study the Postgraduate in Sport Sponsorship at Johan Cruyff Institute, and will be announced in January 2017.
