As academic partner of the international trade fair, Johan Cruyff Institute offers its students and alumni the option of arranging job interviews with important companies and European organizations in the sports industry
On 19 May, the iWorkinSport Job Fair will be held at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne, the first international job fair dedicated to the sports industry, which will allow some of the most highly recognized sports organizations on the international scene to meet, interview and offer a work contract to former students of Europe’s most prestigious academic institutions in the field of sport management. The Johan Cruyff Institute, as academic partner of the event, offers exclusively to its students and alumni the possibility to attend the fair and arrange job interviews with these companies, which include Adidas, FIFA, IMG, Infront Sports & Media, Libra Law, Mycujoo, NBA, pwc, Soccerex, Sportcal, Sportradar and UEFA.
Large organizations are constantly looking to acquire new talent to incorporate into their workforce and candidates will be able to benefit from this exclusive platform to have a 20-minute personal interview with leading headhunters in the world of sport.
As explained by the organizer of the fair, Joao Frigerio, “this event is born from a simple premise and with a clear objective: every year, hundreds of graduates enter into the market with specialized training in sport management. As well as having their own qualities and profiles, they all share common traits: they have an international mentality, they are highly motivated and committed, they have invested a significant amount of time and money in their education, and they share a passion for sport. The best organizations in the sports industry are looking for employees with these characteristics. So the only thing we have done is to find a way for them to meet”.
In addition to the hundreds of job interviews that will take place during the day, iWorkinSport Job Fair will organize an interesting program of debates and presentations related to the sports industry, selected according to the interests of those attending the fair, who have to previously register by completing an online form. At the time of registration, attendees will be able to indicate the topics they would like to be addressed at the event.
iWorkinSport Job Fair is organized by the Swiss events company ENGAGE Sport & Entertainment, together with ThinkSport, a sports innovation network. The inaugural event has the support of the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), as the main partner, WORKS Ltd (design partner), Wiz-Team (IT partner), as well as of the city of Lausanne and the Swiss canton of Vaud.
