Johan Cruyff Institute once again has its Master in Sport Management ranked among the best programs in Europe for the tenth consecutive year, according to the prestigious magazine Sport Business International
Johan Cruyff Institute’s Master in Sport Management continues to be recognized in the rankings published annually by the prestigious magazine SportBusiness International, which this year reaches its tenth edition. Johan Cruyff Institute’s Master in Sport Management has been listed among the best programs in Europe, ranking in the top 20.

Appearing again on the list of the best master’s programs in sport management worldwide in an academic year marked by Covid-19 is doubly gratifying. To compile the rankings, the SportBusiness International evaluation committee takes into account different variables in order to provide students and program managers with the most reliable and respected ranking system. According to Adam Nelson, editor of the rankings, “this task gets a little more difficult and complex each year as we continue to adjust and expand our criteria to ensure the fairest and most reliable result. Given the events of 2020, we have taken into account more than ever how universities and different institutions have dealt with such complex issues as race, gender and, of course, the Covid-19 pandemic.”
SportBusiness International has introduced two entirely new variables this year: the ability to network with industry executives while studying, and an assessment of value for money. The rankings evaluation committee still considers the proportion of international students in a program to be important, as well as the proportion of female students, rewarding schools that have a strong proportion of international professors and female faculty. In contrast, ethnic diversity among the student body is no longer taken into account.
